Posted Jun-17-08 13:07:05 PDT Updated Jun-17-08 21:14:01 PDT

It’s a love song. Google it.

“Stay with me my love I hope you’ll always be…”

Careful thought. Like other lovers from the past, there are other writers– other lyrics. They have no place in the future or the past of my story. Just so you know.

In my stoy?

The lyrics go like this:

Stay with me,
My love I hope you ‘ll always be
Right here by my side if ever I need you
Oh my love

Good luck on your search.

Oh happy wedding day for those folks who are now by law able to take the leap into the great unknown.

Such an adventure. I hope it is a good one for you. Wish you well.

Now to our story. Actually a question. The question of the day.

It begins with a song, “…A little music from the house next door…” Is that Seals and Croft or the Isley Brothers? ” Summer breeze ” makes me feel fine…”

Ahhhh summer.

Alice sat at the small table with the note in her lap and wondered what that sound was. First she heard a …drip… and then she heard a …drop….

Where was that coming from? The kitchen? Maybe. This old house just seemed to be alive with sounds. This one sounded like it had a plumber’s bill attached.
…drip…
…drop….

She’d have to go “see”. But first Alice read the note? “Click Me?”.

She read it again.

…drip…
…drop….

“See the curtains hanging in the window….”

Alice could hear the melody floating in through the window.

…drop….

“…a little music from the house next door…”

she listened,

straining to hear the words.

Thoughts of this morning at breakfast…. Hmmmm …

…drip…

…drip… …drop….

Argh. Drip … drop…. drip… It was like water dripping on her brain. She wondered if she’d crack

Back to reality. That sound again. What was that plumber’s name? And the note. He was alway doing this. Some cryptic note that led to a practical joke — or– a picnic?? He was alway doing stuff like that. The sweet things that got her through the day.

“But, Click Me?’ she sighed, ” What could it mean?”

“…Summer breeze makes me feel fine…” She went back to day dreaming about this morning. What was that song? The one they were listening to this morning. “This old heart of mine….”

She checked the Playlist.

Posted Jun-16-08 14:46:46 PDT Updated Jun-17-08 21:10:05 PDTWell you see it’s all Nailhd and Tryork’s fault really. I hadn’t intended to post the Alice Adventures yet. I was just going to study on it. Write the full thing and then post it fully formed. That is until I wrote the “drip” posts. I was suffering from an acute case of boredom and writers block. So I put it into a story. Then Tryork commented about his house drip and Naildh commented that the “drip drip” might mean I needed a doctor. The next thing I knew I’d written them both poems and began writing down the Alice Adventures. So here we both are. You reading. I’m writing. Fun. Fun. Fun. This next is the intro that I wrote originally to show Nailhd and Tryork how the links work. The blue drip and drop are the links to their poems. Read the rest of this post and then see if you can find their poems.
———It begins:

She read it again.

Click Me? What could it all mean?

Posted Jun-16-08 03:28:16 PDT Updated Jun-16-08 06:35:43 PDTPardon our dust. Working on this weeks adventure here at 12 dogs.

Will spend today reading when I'm not writing for the week. Walking Buddy bought me a copy of "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens. I think he plans to keep me entertained with books this Summer. Only read one blog this morning. Bengal Tiger's blog about Paris. Have been there Bengal. As much as I loved Alaska, I think Paris really is worth more than just dreaming about. Going to get some sleep. Only woke up to post this mornings blog entry then it's back to a lovely sleep. If the dog will stop barking. Comments on but hidden. Ann

Blog post Update: Looks like walk instead of lovely sleep. Dogs barking. Won't stop. Going to walk with Walking Buddy; the Sphinx WITHOUT a riddle. Hmmmppht. (Inside joke for person whose absence is turning me into a "Golden Retriever". Even as I type.I'm soooo bored at the moment that my mind has turned to researching Taricha's. Who's skin, by the way,is "…dry and warty…" Terrific. It's your fault that bit of trivia will be cluttering up my brain like a "mind worm"! I'll be spending all day trying to work it into a conversation. LOL "Did you know that the Taricha Torosa's skin is dry and warty. Now please pass me the catsup." Grrrrrr.)

Computer off. Comments ON but hidden. Email definately ON. Be back later. Ann

Next stop? Pardon our dust Nailhd and Tryork
